Summary

In this episode, Suzanne discusses her big awakening, how to be a blessing versus an obstacle in someone's life, the difference between pity and compassion, the challenges of being unequally yoked in marriage, seeing the fruits of your obedience, remembering the forgotten, and why believers need to understand and address trauma.

Suzanne Burns is the Founder and Executive Director of Foundation House Ministries, a maternity home program for mothers in crisis. Healing Springs is the job-training program of Foundation House Ministries, a Cleveland, TN-based maternity home for pregnant and parenting women in critical situations. The women they help have been trapped in cycles of generational poverty, trauma, and addiction. They are here to provide them with not only job skills that will allow them to become effective employees, but also life skills and build them up and encourage them in their journey to wholeness. She is also the Founder of Be Charity Wise which empowers ministry leaders to achieve greater levels of transformation in the lives they touch through coaching, online, and in person training.

She is a Certified Family Trauma Professional and an author of four books. She equips compassionate Kingdom leaders to understand and apply trauma informed practices in their ministries so they can serve their communities more effectively.
